Lwendo Moonzwe

Lwendo is a research and evaluation specialist with a technical background in behavioral communication change, culturally based intervention design, education, food security, and HIV/AIDS. She also has experience working in the fields of human rights, maternal and child health, nutrition, sexual and reproductive health, and women’s empowerment. Lwendo has extensive methodological and theoretical training in qualitative and quantitative research methods. She has widespread experience collecting and analyzing data through assessments, facility and site visits, focus groups discussion, in-depth interviews, primary and secondary data sources, and observations. Lwendo also has public health, market and mixed-method research expertise, which includes leading and designing baseline evaluations, multicounty studies and program assessments.

She is versed in training research and data collection teams, conducting thematic analysis using different techniques and software packages and presenting study findings and recommendations through reports, presentations, and other dissemination mechanisms. Lwendo received her Ph.D. and M.P.H. from the University of Connecticut and received a graduate certificate in women, gender, and sexuality studies.
